Michael Ohm - CPA, MBA

Mike Ohm graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business with emphasis in Management, Marketing, and Economics in 1999.  In 2001, he earned his Master of Business Administration in General Business with emphasis in Economics.  Subsequent to earning his degrees he completed the required accounting courses necessary to sit for the CPA exam and earned his Certificate in 2008. 

During his coursework he received the following honors: Outstanding Accounting Academic award, Named Scholar-Athlete, Member of Dean’s Honor Roll, Member of President’s Honor Roll, and All-Conference and All-Region Performer in collegiate baseball. 

Mike joined J. Rex Lemert, P.C. in 1999 as a staff accountant mainly to provide bookkeeping and payroll services as well tax preparation assistance.  He currently serves as a tax accountant/preparer for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and gift returns.  The clients he is responsible for is a broad group, which includes individuals or businesses in the medical, legal, agricultural, real estate, oil and gas, insurance industries, and small businesses.  In addition, he continues to oversee many of the bookkeeping and payroll functions that the firm provides to its clients. 

On a personal note, Mike is married with one child.  He is active in volunteering as coach or assistant in his son’s YMCA or Kid’s Inc activities.  He enjoys golf, basketball, and spending quality time with his family.
